I edit this site. I live in Cascais, on the mainland, and Madeira is the island I keep going back to. That is where the site comes from, and it decides how it works.
Instead of trading on stories, these pages track what can be verified: which levada routes the forest service lists as open, what the weather stations report on each side of the island, what the entry fees are, and when each figure was last checked. Where something is my own impression, the page says so and gives the date.
Tours are compared the same way. The partner marketplace gives us the price, the duration, the group cap, the schedule, the cancellation terms, what is included and how the reviews are distributed. We read every product in a collection, rank them by a published method and say who each one suits and where the catch is.
