I'd choose this for the villages along the north coast. The shared departure has a limit of 50 people. Pick another route if Pico do Arieiro is the main reason for your day.

You reach the coast at São Vicente before Ponta Delgada and Boaventura. The route continues through Arco de São Jorge towards Santana's houses. There's a rum distillery stop in Porto da Cruz. You also visit Caniçal and the Boca das Voltas viewpoint.

Pickup in central Funchal is included. Lunch costs extra. Ask about the pickup charge for your address in Caniço. Port pickup and other areas carry an extra charge.
