This level 2 trip is our option for people with some canyoning behind them. You can also join after completing level 1. It calls for moderate fitness.
At Ribeiro do Cidrão you tackle abseils and jumps through narrow gorges. The descents need more technical skill than on the beginner trip. Boots and gloves are included with the canyoning kit. You get GoPro photos and videos too.
Bottled water and hotel pickup are included. Some pickup areas cost extra. You can meet at the Chapel of São Rafael in Nuns Valley. I'd choose level 1 for a first go.

Before you book
- Some canyoning experience or a completed level 1 trip is required. You need moderate fitness.
- Ages 7 to 60 can book. Each booking needs someone aged 18 or over.
- Children must be at least 1.20 metres tall.
- Pickup in Ponta do Sol or Calheta costs €10 extra per person. The same charge applies in Santana and São Vicente. It also applies in Porto Moniz.
- Bad weather or too few bookings can cancel the trip.
- Give this one a miss if you're pregnant, or if you have a back or spine injury or a heart condition.
- At least one adult (18+) per booking, up to 20 people per booking.

Meeting point, pickup and return
Hotel pickup or meet at the start point. Pickup 30 minutes before departure. 36 pickup points listed by the operator.
We will pick you up at your hotel or accommodation; our vehicles are easily identifiable by our distinctive color and logo on the doors. Our driver/guide will be waiting for you outside the hotel reception at the designated pickup time.
As soon as you exit the tunnel arriving at Nuns Valley, follow the road to the right until you reach the Chapel of São Rafael. Show in Google Maps
